WELCOME to my web site, which provides easy access to my thoughts on academic and other topics.  I was a Reader in Digital Cartography in the Department of Computer Science prior to my early retirement in 2003 and am currently a Reader Emeritus of the University of Hull.   The page on Myself gives more details of my multidisciplinary academic background.  My supervised and personal academic research on disparate topics, is documented within sub-webs, some of which are still under construction.  I would also like to devote some time and space to other topics - both material and mystical - which have shaped my life.
